Seekh Kebab is a type of kebab originating and popular in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Minced meat typically lamb is marinated with spices, ginger, garlic and herbs and is cooked on a barbecue or tandoor.  At Anchan’s we have blended the Seekh Kebab spice mix to suit different methods of cooking to suit barbecue, tandoor and pan fry. Our recipe card and cooking video gives our customers step by step instructions with useful tips to cook Seekh Kebab to make it soft and succulent. 

 

This is a medium spiced dish, thats goes well with fresh coriander mint yogurt chutney or with breads/wraps of your choice along with salads.

 

Can also be served as Lamb burger with some salad, mayo and cheddar cheese.

  • For 3-4 servings:

    • 500 grams lamb mince with 20% fat content
    • 1 medium size onion (60 g), finely chopped
    • 3 garlic cloves (15g), finely grated
    • 1.5 inch ginger (15g), finely grated
    • 2 tablespoons coriander leaves (10g), finely chopped
    • 2 green chillies, finely chopped (optional)
    • 1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter
    • 3/4 teaspoon salt or salt to taste
    • Flat wooden or metal skewers (optional)
